KCCA FC, CHINT UGANDA RENEW PARTNERSHIP IN UGX 840M DEAL

PUBLISHED — 25th, August 2026

Fresh from winning the FUFA Super 8 tournament, and ahead of the 2026/27 season, KCCA FC has renewed its partnership with Chint Uganda in a deal worth UGX840 million.

The agreement, announced in Kampala on Tuesday, will see Chint Uganda retain its position as the club’s principal shirt sponsor and lighting partner, that powers night matches at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

The new deal represents a significant increase from the previous partnership, which was valued at UGX400 million.

KCCA Executive Director Sharifah Buzeki said the partnership had produced tangible benefits for the club, particularly through the installation of floodlights and provision of a generator.

Buzeki thanked Chint Uganda for supporting KCCA FC over the past four years, saying the company’s contribution has helped create an environment for night football at the Philip Omondi Stadium.

Buzeki also urged more companies to invest in Ugandan football, saying stronger private-sector partnerships are needed to support clubs and improve sports infrastructure.

The Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, thanked Chint Uganda for its continued support to the club and encouraged other companies to follow suit.

“We shall continue to support Chint,” Kabanda said, while calling for more private-sector investment in Ugandan football.

Chint Uganda chief executive officer Sherry Shi Namutebi described the renewal as an important milestone for the company.

“This partnership is now four years old. It is a big honour for me. It is remarkable,” Namutebi said.

She commended KCCA’s leadership for what she described as its transformative energy and reaffirmed Chint Uganda’s commitment to supporting KCCA FC.

KCCA Deputy Executive Director Benon Kigenyi said the club is proud of the relationship with Chint Uganda.

“It is a great honour to share the brand of Chint and always wear it. We are proud of the journey we have walked together,” Kigenyi said.

KCCA FC chairperson Eng Andrew Sserunjoji appealed to the club’s supporters to support Chint Uganda as a way of appreciating the company’s contribution to the club.

The partnership announcement was held as KCCA FC prepares for the 2026/27 season, following its recent success in the Super 8 competition.

The club used the occasion to unveil its new home jersey for the new season, with the Chint Uganda brand featuring on the shirt.

Later in the day fans were also introduced to the club’s new team bus, while new players were unveiled ahead of the new campaign.

The event began with a tour of Chint Uganda’s facilities, where guests were taken through the company’s range of electrical and energy solutions, including switches, solar systems, standard cables and electric vehicle charging systems.

The company also showcased home and interior products, including furniture, kitchenware, wardrobes and bathroom fittings.
