Many Roads Nearing Completion and More Planned in Kampala

The dilemma most motorists and pedestrians face in Kampala is being addressed with seven new multiple lane roads.  These state-of-the-art roads and junctions will be fitted traffic control lights, signs and walkways. A number of these are nearing completion around the City such as Kira - Kabira road and junctions, Bwaise Junction, Mambule road and Makerere Hill road. The construction of Bakuli – Nakulabye – Kasubi Road is in the pipe line. The road widening and construction are funded by the World Bank and the Government of Uganda under the Second Kampala Institutional and Infrastructure Development Project.
